Emmanouil Stamatis graduated in July 1990 from the School of Medicine of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH).
He specialized in Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology for six years, from November 1992 to March 1999.
He earned a Ph.D. from the School of Medicine of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens with the highest distinction (“Excellent”).
He pursued further training in a paid position (Clinical Foot and Ankle Fellowship) in the USA, at the specialized Foot and Ankle Surgery Clinics of Mercy Medical Center and Union Memorial Hospital (Baltimore, Maryland), under the world-renowned Mark S. Myerson.
Throughout his extensive clinical career, he has served, among other positions, as Deputy Director and Director of the Orthopedic Clinics of the 401 General Military Hospital of Athens (401 GNSA) and the 417 NIMTS Hospital.
