Dimitris Theodorakakos is a long-distance runner and coach.
He is a retired Officer of the Hellenic Navy.
He has completed the basic training of the Underwater Demolition Command (OYK), operational training, as well as the corresponding Paratrooper training (SVEA).
He holds a degree in Physical Education and Sports from the State University of Strasbourg, with postgraduate studies in maximizing athletic performance.
In his athletic career, he has been a World Cup winner in mountain running – 1st place at Olympus in 2018 and 2nd place in Madeira in 2016.
He is a Balkan champion and a Greek national champion in the marathon.
He was a member of the Greek National Team in marathon running, cross-country running, and mountain running.
He still holds the course record after winning the Great Wall Marathon in 2013.
He is a five-time winner of the international Olympus Marathon, holding the course record for several years, as well as records in most mountain races in Greece, covering distances from 5 to 80 km.
He was also a Greek national champion in rowing and a member of the National Rowing Team for several years.
