Anastasios V. Tokis, MD was born in 1971 in Dusseldorf Germany. He graduated from the Medical School of the Aristototle University, Thessaloniki and completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Orthopaedic Department of the University Hospital of loannina under the direction of Professor Panagiotis N. Soukakos. During his residency he focused on sports injuries of the knee, hip and shoulder, arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Anastasios Tokis received postgraduate education at various University Clinics in Germany, emphasizing on shoulder and hip arthroscopy. Through many years of experience and specialized training, Dr. Anastasios Tokis covers the entire spectrum of arthroscopic surgery regarding hip, shoulder, knee and ankle joints, and sports injuries and traumatology as well.
His special clinical and scientific interests include advanced arthroscopic surgical techniques for all major joints and minimal invasive reconstruction surgery techniques of the hip and knee.
Furthermore, he is a certified Orthopaedic Surgeon for Knee and Hip Robotic Surgery and has been member of the team that introduced robotic surgery {Makoplasty) in Greece.
