Vlachopoulos Dimitris

Dr. Dimitris Vlachopoulos is Co-Director of the Children’s Health and Exercise Research Centre at the University of Exeter, ranked among the top Sport Science departments globally. Specializing in sports medicine, youth athlete development, and large-scale interventions, his work focuses on athlete monitoring, talent identification, and musculoskeletal and cardiovascular health. He collaborates with UK Athletics, Public Health England, healthcare companies, NGOs, Greece’s national childhood obesity intervention, and the São Paulo Research Foundation. He has 80+ publications and presentations, multiple awards, and prestigious funding, contributing to European and national screening and intervention projects and policies for youth health and performance.
